Having played a major part in helping to establish a credible and extremely exciting urban music scene in the South West, Jonezy was the first DJ to start a dedicated R'n'B session in the Devon & Cornwall area. While his real passion lies within the hip-hop, R'n'B, and soul genres, his influences expand across the board, including reggae, dancehall, garage, funky house, drum & bass, funk, disco, and pop. With that said, adapting to any crowd and any occasion is something that he prides himself on.
Once a member of Def Jam and Atlantic UK street team's, Jonezy has promoted and networked for artists such as Jay-Z, Beyonce, 50 Cent, T.I., Missy Elliott, Flo-Rida, Lupe Fiasco, Trey Songz, Craig David Kano and many more... Since starting on the circuit, back in 2001, Jonezy has also played alongside some of the industry's biggest DJ's, including: Jazzy Jeff, David Guetta, Tim Westwood, Trevor Nelson, Tiesto, Shortee Blitz Masters at Work and many more...
During 10 years of DJ-ing, whether it's in the UK or Dubai, he's worked alongside acts such as Nas, Common, Kanye West, , Example, Tinie Tempah, Lupe Fiasco, Dizzie Rascal, Wiley, Wretch 32, Giggs,Flo-Rida, and was recently assigned as warm up DJ for Rick Ross on the Manchester leg of his UK tour.
Constantly on his grind, 2009 saw Jonezy tapped to appear on Mista Jams BBC Radio 1 show where he played a 30 minute guest mix. Aside from this, he's also featured on BBC 1Xtra's Hip-Hop Mix Show with Charlie Sloth, and had mixes played on Bang FM and Kiss 101. Not one to stop there, his recently launched blog (www.djjonezy.com/blog) is rapidly on the rise.
